Finally convinced The Hubby to allow me to buy a new digital camera! I had such a tough time deciding between Fuji and Canon. The non-confirmist in me decided on Fuji in the end. Am so happie! :)
Considering that I am sooooooo fearful of lizards, new phone charm is made of lizard skin! Hee!

Back to Jogging
After one week of self-medication and zzzz as much as I can, my nose is no longer blocked and I am back to my regular jogging. :)
We had a courtesy car yesterday while our car spend some time in the workshop, so after jogging last nite, I wanted to go to Charlie's Corner @ Changi Village for some sinful supper. I wanted a long drive to see how fast the courtesy car can go and to "play around" with some of the features. However, it was already 1020pm by the time we left the house and the last order for food @ Charlie's is 1030pm.
We settled for McDonald's at East Coast instead. I had some yummy! McWings. Yum yum!! I was surprised that the place was quite crowded for a weekday at that time of the nite; I reckon it's because its the school holidays this week.
After filling our stomachs, we went for a walk along the beach. It's actually the first time The Hubby and I walked along East Coast together! Ha! We never did it when we were dating. Quite suaku hor...

Earthquake in Singapore??
I thought it was me. I woke up in the morning feeling unwell with a bad sore throat and cough. I suddenly felt like the world is moving.
My colleague shouted "Why is it moving??! Earthquake!!". Then I realised it wasn't me afterall. The building is swaying. My office is on the 40th floor of Suntec and Singapore felt the after-effects of the earthquake in Sumatra.
After the first tremor, I went off for lunch @ a venue 15 minutes away. Apparently, there were a couple more tremors after I left. The interesting thing is when I went downstairs, there were a lot of people standing around - chatting, smoking, talking on the mobile phone etc. It is ironic becoz in my opinion, they are actually in a more dangerous position than they would have been if they had stayed put in their respective offices and hid under their working tables. I am not kidding.
There is so much glass downstairs, and there is the "World's largest" water fountain at Suntec. Also, if there is a tsunami, it is definitely safer to be higher up on the 40th floor than on the ground floor.
Singaporeans are definitely not well-equipped with the correct knowledge to save themselves if we really have an earthquake one day.

The Protege
Further to my earlier post, The Hubby changed his mind and watched it with me. I like it and no prizes for guessing why :P The movie ended with
"Which is worse: loneliness or drugs (& its consequences)?".......Hmmmmm
