Hokkaido - Furano - Outlying areas

We spent a total of 4 nights in Furano. We made Furano our base and made day trips from there. Biei (in an earlier post) was one of the day trips out of Furano. The rest of the 3 days were spent exploring Furano and its surrounding areas. We went to numerous flower parks; drove along many windy roads; got lost a couple of times; visited an art gallery; saw some amazing sceneries; and met really warm local Japanese folks.

I had a tough time choosing the pictures to post - there were too many nice ones to choose from!

Yuen spotted a fox while driving. He was too stunned to move and posed long enough for me to take a nice pic of him :)

Pretty flowers along the road

We stumbled upon this tree by chance

Yuen with AnPan Man. We took one hour to find the AnPan Man Shop!

Both of us at a pit stop along the way

Both of us on top of Mount Furano

The colour of the butterfly is similar to that of the flowers
