Sapporo (札幌市) is the fifth largest city in Japan by population and the third largest by geographic size. It is the capital of the Hokkaido Prefecture. Sapporo is best known outside of Japan for hosting the 1972 Winter Olympics, and the annual yuki matsuri, internationally referred to as the Sapporo Snow Festival. The city is also home to Sapporo Brewery.
We spent a total of 6 nights in Sapporo; the first 2 nights upon arrival from Singapore and the last 4 nights before we flew back to Singapore.
