4th day was spent at the Temple of Heaven, Jingshan Park and Houhai Park. Temple of Heaven is where emperors of the past used to go to pray every year for a good harvest. Jingshan Park is right behind the Forbidden City; so one can actually get a good view of the Forbidden City from the top of the park (It's a short hike up!). Houhai Park resolves around the Houhai River and has rows of restaurants and pubs.

The Hubby's coffee. Notice the milk swirls..It was one of our best meals we had in Beijing. The food was nice and the service was good. When we arrived, the restaurant was half empty. By the time we left, there was a long waiting list for a table. It was apparently a very popular restaurant along the Houhai River stretch of dining places.
